Billet handling

The project request included a handling equipment for steel billets.

WeSolve AB/PROAC AB did all engineering and manufacturing in this project. Some of the manufacturing was done here in Birsta, Sundsvall and some of it was manufactured abroad. But we put it all together and erected it here in Birsta, Sundsvall before delivering it to the costumer.

Those steel billets did have a temperature about 1100°C when they entered the zone. To detect billets with defects outside of the set costumer requirements - a new straightness measuring equipment was engineered. These measurements are done "on the fly" when the billets are passing through.
